On June 22nd, the delegates for the General Chapter of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist held their elections for the Prioress General, which was witnessed by Bishop Earl Boyea, the ordinary of the Diocese of Lansing.

The month of June is dedicated to Jesus’ Sacred Heart, with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart celebrated on June 11. The beloved disciple, St. John the Evangelist, writes much about the heart of Jesus, both directly and indirectly.

Traditionally, and still in many dioceses of the world, the Church celebrates Ascension Thursday on the Thursday that falls 40 days after the Resurrection.

On April 29, we celebrate the feast day of our Dominican sister, St. Catherine of Siena. As she courageously followed Christ in every phase of her life, may she teach us how to become better disciples of Christ.

This Easter season, the Sisters give glory to God, our Merciful Savior, through their original arrangement and heartfelt recording of "Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam".

The month of March, traditionally dedicated to St. Joseph, has even greater significance this year, as we remember that we journey through a whole year dedicated to this holy and chaste foster father of Jesus.

As we celebrate the feast of Christ's Presentation in the Temple on February 2, we also celebrate the World Day for Consecrated Life.
