Sr. Maryjane
Houston, TX
28 years old
Four years later, I began thinking about religious life. I didn’t know how else to thank God for the many graces He had given to my family except to offer my life to him as a consecrated religious.
Although I was very happy with the community I first entered, I was still looking for something more. In my search, the Dominican Sisters of Mary were the one community that stood out. However, the search did not stop there, as I asked Jesus for many signs. The most recent one occurred when I was teaching at a school in Virginia. I had heard of Sr. Joseph Andrew as a speaker who would travel around the States to talk to college students. There she was, speaking for the mission at my school’s parish church. It was unbelievable.
The priest who got me thinking about my identity suggested that I contact the Dominican Sisters. Now in God’s time I am called to continue my journey as a Dominican Sister of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. I’m called to be a consecrated religious forever.
